Manhattan Lullaby

Director/Producer

Manhattan Lullaby is a feature documentary about Colony Records, currently in post-production. Housed in Manhattan’s historic Brill Building, Colony was a mecca for celebrated musicians and music fans from around the world. Family-owned in Times Square until it’s closing in 2012, Colony was a landmark of New York City’s cultural history and one of the last independent record stores in the country. Manhattan Lullaby touches on the theme of corporatization and homogenization of our culture through the personal stories of the men and women who worked at, shopped at, or even just hung out at the Colony. Manhattan Lullaby work-in-progress was accepted to the Sundance Producers Conference, IFP Spotlight on Documentaries and won the NYSCA grant for post-production.
